Welcome to Romsey Voices

Would you like to sing? Often thought about it but never actually taken the plunge? Romsey is an incredible singing town. So if you are not already a member of one of the town’s many choirs then now is your chance to be a part of an adult choir – ‘Romsey Voices’.

This choir for men and women was formed in 2016 and has around 70 members ranging in age from ~20 to ~80.

Rehearsals place on Wednesday evenings from 7.45pm to 9:30pm in Romsey Abbey Primary School.  Everyone is welcome, there are no auditions and it doesn’t matter if you can’t read music although anyone who can will be most welcome.

The music is varied, featuring songs from the shows – Les Miserables, Fiddler on the Roof etc as well as arrangements of popular songs and some more classical pieces. Who knows what we’ll end up doing along the line – it will be a fun musical journey.

The evening will take the format of 2 singing sessions with a social break in the middle. There will be a termly membership charge of £30 to cover costs.  If you are interested please come along and give it a try.  We meet in the Abbey School Music room from 7:45 pm for a warm up before moving into the school hall at 8pm and rehearse until ~ 9:30pm.  Please feel free to spread the word and invite anyone else who would like to come along, always fun to sing with a friend.

Singing is great fun and makes you feel good, singing with other people is very uplifting and everyone will be made to feel very welcome. If you have any further questions please don’t hesitate to contact me  – I’d love to hear from you
